Not a critical feature but maybe something for future?
If a longer text is being pasted, it could be (semi-)automatically split into multiple cards with 300 characters (with still some reasonable lenght limit for all characters).
I know there is already a split function now but it splits into way too many cards than I want and it wasn’t really clear to me that it can be used to overcome 300 character limit.
But that is just a suggestion for future, nothing super pressing.
even if i split long text automatically i’d be using the same split algorythm so i think it makes sense to focus on how that algo should be changed to split better first
The problem, imo, is making it as simple, intuitive, and consistent as possible so non-power users don’t get surprised.
I think seeing a real world example would be helpful, but I also don’t feel super strongly here, but even a power-user feature should be easily discoverable, which I’d argue this solution isn’t…
i feel that a special syntax for only power users , and then have the regular thing (1 line break) not actually split the card would be super unintuitive for most ppl
also there are scenarios where someone Would want to break into a new card on a single line break. the only way to cater for everyone is for the algo to be as dumb and predictable as possible
