Would prefer shift + enter for line breaks because the shortcut works in other places similarly
I mean when i set Shift+Enter for line break, i expect ctrl + enter to work for child cards, otherwise i am overriding shortcut for child cards here. please provide some alternative to set child card shortcut when i set shift + enter for line breaks.
Can you verify that this is what you are currently observing:
- When shift-enter is set to line breaks , Ctrl-enter also creates line breaks?
- when shift-enter is set to child cards, ctrl-enter also creates child cards?
- When shift-enter is set to line breaks , Ctrl-enter also creates line breaks?
Yes, both doing line breaks - when shift-enter is set to child cards, ctrl-enter also creates child cards?
No, Ctrl+Enter is doing line breaks, Shift is doing child cards
oh ok i understand now. the shift-enter behaviour currently doesn’t change ctrl-enter at all. But that makes sense. marking this as incomplete, will look into this when i can
another related request:
I frequently use new line, and I’m used to it being Shift+Enter. But I also frequently use create child-card, but it seems when I switch new line to being Shift+Enter, then there’s no shortcut to create child-card, that’s the ultimate issue
from other apps I use I’d expect Shift+Enter to be new line, and Command+Enter to be create child card. But it seems Command+Enter has no function that I can find but I’m used to that being a common shortcut on Mac
