Can't create new card when sidebar is pinned

1. Pin the sidebar
2. Click on the canvas to try to create a new card.
3. Observe that the new card dialog doesn’t open.

Bump: can’t create new cards when this sidebar is pinned—makes Kinopio pretty unusable:) This is okay on mobile.
