if the space is private and your a collaborator and you @ your collaborator, wouldn’t you want to send them a notification as well?

feature idea: @mentions could work just like a tag, but would have a bell icon to subscribe to that mention?
would work between spaces too i’d assume

this would enable users to make prioritized notifications, and of course mention eachother
i’d assume the mention with your username is one that you automatically get notified of, but since they aren’t unique, i’m not sure if that could work properly
could combat the ‘multiple users with same username’ issue by only being able to mention collaborators, if there’s still multiple with the same name that’s shame on the impersonator, and everyone gets notified
or just dont auto subscribe users
syntax
syntax should be something that enables the use of spaces, maybe @@mention@@ (so that typing @ doesn’t automatically turn into @@, it needs to be intentional)
highlighting mentions
the mention shows on the top of notification emails, and it could also have a tab in the notification menu to sort to just mentions, plus unread mentions would be highlighted differently

based on discussion in Discord , @mentions will be a feature for paid/teams users only
you will be able to @ collaborators in the current space, or team members from any space
