Ability to remove things from the TOC

Use case example: Let’s say I want to make a full-year calendar. I might do something similar to the one month calendar template and make boxes for each day of each month. However this would overload the TOC since there would be 365 boxes, making it largely useless. Instead I’d prefer to only have maybe some dividers for each month be part of it, or maybe a specific box for each month such as for the 1st of each month.

I don’t always want everything that registers in the TOC to be there, but instead might want “anchor point” items that will be in the general area I want to go. Even right now I have a “weekly schedule” space I’m experimenting with, and I don’t necessarily want each of the boxes I’m using to be in the TOC.

I think @tonytran also requested something like this so maybe he can chime in here whether this is what he wanted to .

Would you expect the hidden TOC items to only be hidden for you , or for all users?

I think hidden for all viewers makes sense. I think the idea of creating spatial “anchors” for you or anyone makes sense to me personally.

do you have any thoughts on how the ui for this would look?

The obvious thing for me would be to have a ‘hide from toc’ button in the Line/List/BoxDetails dialog . But that’s a lot of button real estate to devote to such a niche function.
