This option is perplexing. What does this option do? Something with teams? But it doesn’t do anything. Can other users understand it?

I think this may be due to the fact that the Teams feature is still in Beta. If you’re not included in that beta group, you may be not be seeing all of the UI needed for the feature to make sense

And that is an issue, isn’t it? If it is in beta, only people in beta should see that, otherwise it is a bug. Or you can write “upcoming new feature” or something similar but this is very confusing.

Agreed. Maybe the issue here is that the “empty” state is not clear. Here’s what it looks like when you have teams defined:
This dialog is meant to assign the space to a team. So if you have no teams, it doesn’t make sense to only show “Clear Team”. This dialog maybe should allow you to create a new team and then assign the space to it.

Or say something like: “There will be a great upcoming super feature of teams. Stay tuned!”

Try clicking your user avatar in the top right. See if you have a Teams button and if it will allow you to create a team. If that’s the case, then the issue is with the dialog not explaining you don’t currently have any Teams set-up to assign the space too.
No, I am not able to create any teams. So the button/icon in the left panel should be missing or explained.
